We must be careful in this area, because some of the examples that I will give in this lesson may be substantiated in other portions of scripture. But just the idea that these sections of scripture are left out is enough to warrant concern and vigil on our parts concerning new versions of the Bible.

2. THE DOCTRINE OF THE CHURCH
   1. Rev. 2:15 B So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.
   2. The words A which thing I hate@ is left out in NIV and others. This lessens the strength of the message here by eliminating these words.
   3. The Nicolaitans had a church government that ruled the people.

   1. Luke 22:42 B And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
   2. This is completely left out of the New King James Version of the Bible
